The villa is situated on an area of 2.500 m², fenced with a beautiful handmade wall of local Istrian stone and surrounded with forest and meadows. The large garden allows you to enjoy open door activities such as football, badminton and volleyball, or simply chill out and breathe the fresh air in the shade of trees of a nearby forest. Close to the kitchen, there is a small spiral aromatic garden with rosemary, sage, dill, parsley, oregano, thyme, lemon balm, mint and many other herbs… Feel free to pick a stem of spices and simply add them to your dishes. This is the most common and the most natural way to spice up your meals or enrich your cocktails with special freshness and unique flavor. There are several fruit trees on the property, and depending on the time of year, you will be able to taste the flavor of fresh picked mirabelle plums, pears, figs, quince or walnuts. Simply enjoy being immersed in nature.
Green is our natural choice. Just like yours. Villa Marten is the holder of the Eco Domus certificate, which means that we have met as many as 50 criteria confirming responsible behavior towards the environment and the local community. We use ecological cleaning products, natural materials, technology that saves water and energy, separates waste, recycles, uses renewable sources of energy and much more. We support the local community by promoting small local producers of eco food and other products, as well as authentic experiences.
We have added a touch of family spirit to the villa, with few family pieces of furniture, Grandfather’s vineyard tools and wine-barrel, oil lamps, Grandma's sieves… and of course we’ll give you a warm welcome with a bottle of wine produces from the grapes from our vineyards. We really don’t want to overwhelm you with antiques or with Mediterranean temperament, but only introduce you to our friendly and vivid family so almost everything mentioned is squeezed into a small room; where you are invited to enjoy homemade brandy.

The 179 m2 villa can accommodate 6-8 people on two floors. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen open to a terrace with art sitting area, dining area in a spacious living room with fireplace and large sofa, satellite TV and DVD, small library, and wine-bar built in the former water reservoir with the old flooring and family antiques. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms (Entoni’s and Martin’s room), with double beds (one with possibility of twin beds) all with SAT- TV, shower / WC and exit to the terrace. On the ground floor there is also an extra toilet.
On the first floor there is a spacious bedroom (Gran Marten) with king size bed, a sofa bed, cooling and heating, private bathroom with shower / WC and SAT- TV, small terrace with forest view and a large terrace with whirlpool hot tube for 5-6 people, which is a relaxation area.

Feel free to pick rosemary, sage, dill, parsley, oregano, thyme, lemon balm, and other spices from the aromatic garden on the property and simply add them to your dishes. The food prepared on the stone grill pit will have e special freshness and unique flavor. Open the bottle of wine and enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Enjoy the great view of Istrian countryside showing natural stone fences, vineyards, fruit trees and forest from the comfort of the refreshing hydro massage during summertime or relax with a hot water massage in the spring or autumn.

Note
The daily rent of the vacation home includes the cost of electricity, Internet, water, sheets, kitchen necessities, kitchen towels, use of swimming pool during the period of approx. 15.05.. to 25.09, (depending of weather conditions) final cleaning on the departure day, VAT and the residence tax.
Cot and baby chair are free and can be provided on request.
The prices are valid for 7-night stay. The prices are going to be 20% higher for the stay 4-6 nights and 30% for the stay of 3- nights. Pets only on request. Supplement per day – 15 €.
Cancelling reservation
Guest has the right to get a full deposit refund if we receive the request for cancellation no later than 30 days before scheduled arrival. After that date, the whole amount is retained, except in exceptional circumstances (confirmed sickness or death in the family).
Method of payment
The payment is made in two installments. A 30% deposit is paid in advance upon booking. The remaining amount has to be paid 30 days before the arrival. The payment can be made to the foreign- exchange account using the bank transfer:

Our family is friendly Istrian family of four. We are native Istrians with both families living in Istria for centuries. One of the family curiosities is that the grandfather Cyril was driving the last train which connected Rovinj with Kanfanar in late 1966 and at the edges of the property you will find the bike trail set on the old railway line which testifies to our history. Nowadays, our two boys are armed with smartphones and tablets and they think that tradition is boring. For now at least; we do believe that somewhere in the future they will change their minds. With a dedication to our sons the house was given a contemporary twist...
When you get to Istria by car, you'll drive on semi motorway - Istrian Y till the exit Kanfanar / Rovinj. After the exit, keep driving towards Rovinj. After 2 km, keep to the right towards Lim bay and Poreč. Immediately at the gas station turn left onto the gravel road and drive just 200 m along the drywall and you will rich the entrance to the property on which is situated Villa Marten.
If you would like to reach us by plane Pula airport is just 25 km away. We will help you to organize a transfer and you will be on the property in less than 30 minutes.
If you wish to come to Istria by boat, we suggest you to go via Venice. If you are travelling from whatever world destination you will surely be able to fly to Venice. After seeing Venice, you simply board on a regular summer boat line which will take you in Rovinj just in 2, 5 hours of pleasant boat ride.
This is the most romantic travel itinerary! Just in few minutes you will be accommodated in your vacation home and your romance will surely continue.

The villa's location is excellent. It is just 12 km from Rovinj; Porec and Pula are just 9 km away, and it is available by boat from Venice (3 hours). Trieste airport is 60 km away. Kanfanar train station is just 6 km away from the villa. In the village Brajkovići there is a bus stop with regular service to Rovinj. Near to the villa, there are bike paths leading to Rovinj, and other areas of Istria, which are all covered with bike trials.
In the immediate vicinity of the villa, there is a small shop and a gas station, and a children’s playground. In the close proximity of the villa, there is a traditional tavern (1 km), pizzeria (2 km), the wine route (5 km), aromatic park Histria Aromatica (5 Km), several producer of first class virgin olive oil in Bale, Vodnjan and Rovinj (9 km) , water park (20 km), many unique places to visit, attractive beaches, restaurants and numerous events such as the Summer Salsa Festival, Photodays in Rovinj where you will be able to experience unique atmosphere of the exclusive seaside resort.
